Southern BBQ Sliders with Jalapeño Pear Slaw

Yield: 8 sliders

Perfect for parties and potlucks, these lil sliders are easy to make and even easier to eat!


·        8 slider buns

·        20 oz Pit Boss (2 packages)


Slaw  (yield:  1 quart)

·        ½ small green cabbage, shredded

·        ¼ small purple cabbage, shredded

·        1-2 large Jalapenos, deseeded and sliced thin

·        1 large green pears, peeled and sliced thin

·        1 cup vegan mayo (We used Follow Your Heart)

·        2 tablespoons lemon juice

·        1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

·        1 tablespoon stone ground mustard

·        1 tablespoon agave

·        salt & pepper

The How-To

  1. Combine cabbage, jalapeno, pears, vegan mayo, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, mustard, and agave in a bowl.  Stir to incorporate, season to taste with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat Pit Boss according to package instructions.  Toast slider buns if desired.
  3. Build sliders and enjoy.
