Lil Stallion Toasts

Yield: 15-20 bites

Fancy party coming up? Dress up toasted baguette rounds with The Stallion and a few other simple ingredients, and you’ll fit right in! Go on, let that pinky stick out.



  • 12 oz The Stallion, sliced on a diagonal
  • 1 baguette, sliced into rounds
  • 12 oz store-bought bruschetta topping (we used Trader Joe’s)
  • ½ oz fresh basil, ribbon cut
  • ½ oz shredded vegan mozzarella (We used Daiya)
  • ¼ cup balsamic glaze
  • extra-virgin olive oil


The How-To

  1. Brush bread lightly with olive oil.  Toast in preheated, 400 F oven for approximately 5 minutes or until slightly golden.
  2. Top each crostini with vegan mozzarella and return to oven for approximately 2 minutes to melt cheese slightly.
  3. Cook Stallion in olive oil in a pan until crispy – make sure to brown both sides.
  4. Top each crostini with bruschetta, 2 to 3 slices of crispy Italian sausage, balsamic glaze drizzle, and fresh basil.
