Apricot Sticky Chicken

Yield: serves 2

We’ve devised a sweet-tangy sauce for the Comrade that is going to change your world. Our Apricot Sticky Chicken sauce is three ingredients. That’s it. Toss in some Comrade Cluck and serve it over a bowl of rice, quinoa, and veggies.


  • 10 oz Comrade Cluck 
  • ½ c rice 
  • 2 T quinoa 
  • 1 carrot, sliced on a bias 
  • 1 cup green beans, 
  • ½ red pepper, sliced thin  
  • 2 t sesame seeds 
  • 1 green onion, sliced thin 

Apricot Sauce: 

  • 1 T soy sauce 
  • 1 T rice vinegar 
  • 3 T apricot preserves

The How-To

  1. Cook rice and quinoa together according to package instructions. 
  2. Sauté Comrade Cluck in oil of choice until browned, set aside. 
  3. In the same pan sauté carrots, green beans, and red peppers until softened slightly and bright in color. 
  4. Add browned chicken back to pan, reduce heat to low, add apricot sauce.  Stir to combine. 
  5. Serve immediately with speckled rice.
